ABOUT THE TOUR

Mangystau is a true treasure trove of natural landmarks, with fantastic landscapes and a mysterious past. This region cannot be fully experienced in just one or two days, which is why we offer a 7-day private tour, allowing you to explore the most impressive locations of Mangystau at a comfortable pace.
During the tour, you will:

Visit unique stone formations: Torysh Valley of Balls, Sherkala Mountain, and Kok-Kala gorge;
Explore plateaus and canyons: Airakty, Bozzhyra, and the “Fangs” viewpoints;
Spend nights in tents under the open sky;
Take walking tours and easy hikes to the most scenic spots;
Be accompanied by experienced guides knowledgeable about the region’s nature and history.

Tour Features:

All overnight stays are in comfortable tents with self-inflating mattresses, clean sleeping bags, and blankets;
Equipment is cleaned and prepared after each tour;
Light snacks are provided along the way, with cold drinks, tea, coffee, fresh salads, fruits, and sweets;
Full dinner and breakfast are included on nights with overnight stays;
Breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last day are not included.

Attention: The Karynzharyk location is available only in a private tour format. Visiting it counts as two tour days. Additional charge — 450 USD.

Guide
An English-speaking guide is provided for groups of more than 6 people. For groups of less than 6 people, the guide service costs $60 per day. The payment can be split between the group members.

Tour will not take place with one person on a group tour. In order to take place for 1 day the payment is 300$. If one person does join, the calculation will be $150 for 1 day per person.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Things to bring for a comfortable trip:

Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or cap;
Loose, breathable clothing suitable for the season, for daytime walks and overnight stays in tents;
Comfortable, sturdy shoes with good grip for climbing and walking on loose surfaces;
Personal hygiene items – toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, towel, wet wipes, etc.;
Other accessories for field conditions – personal first-aid kit, flashlight, chargers.*

*During tent camp setup, the guide will connect a 220V generator so you can charge phones and cameras, and the camp will be illuminated by 1–2 floodlights.

Notes:

Since this tour uses our own camping and kitchen facilities, space in the vehicle is limited. We ask you to bring only small to medium-sized bags or backpacks (up to 40L) as carry-on. Larger luggage can be stored at the hotel, or we can store it at our office for free until your return to Aktau.
Please respect the local culture and religious beliefs of guides and drivers, and refrain from consuming alcohol during the tour. Thank you for your understanding.
Many locations involve walking, climbing, and descending on rough terrain, but they do not require special skills and are suitable for nearly all age groups. If you have musculoskeletal conditions or special dietary needs, please inform us in advance.
In case of bad weather (storm, heavy rain, strong wind), overnight stays in tents may be replaced by accommodation in nearby guest houses. Emergency accommodation will need to be paid separately.

Attention!
Out of respect for Kazakh traditions and religious beliefs, alcoholic beverages are not served during our tours.

Physical Requirements:
The tour does not involve difficult hikes or long walks, making it accessible for people with normal physical fitness and suitable for all age groups.

Weather Conditions:
In case of adverse weather (heavy rain, strong wind, or storm), the group may be required to leave the camp and take shelter in the nearest guest houses.
