ABOUT THE TOUR

Embark on an exciting adventure across the "planet" of Mangistau, where the most otherworldly corners of western Kazakhstan await you. A reliable off-road vehicle will be your "ship," and nights spent in tents under the stars will allow you to experience the desert steppes.
Travel hundreds of kilometers across rough terrain and enjoy unique natural monuments: colossal cliffs, narrow canyons, endless salt marshes, and the legacy of the ancient Tethys Ocean.
At the end of the program, you will find a detailed itinerary, recommendations, and a packing list to help you fully prepare for the most unforgettable trip of the year.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Transportation according to the program
Prepared all-wheel drive SUVs with air conditioning and experienced drivers. Each passenger has a window seat; no more than two passengers in the back row.
Access to electricity in the car
Camping equipment
Tents, self-inflating mattresses, sleeping bags, tables, and chairs.
Accommodation: single occupancy in tents or double occupancy for couples upon request
Toilet tent
Food
Three meals a day (except breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last day).

An English-speaking guide is provided for groups of more than 6 people. For groups of less than 6 people, the guide service costs $60 per day. The payment can be split between the group members.

The group tour is designed for a minimum of two people.
An individual format is possible for one participant — $300 per day.
If a second participant joins the tour, the cost will be $150 per person per day.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Things to bring for a comfortable trip:

Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or cap;
Loose, breathable clothing suitable for the season, for daytime walks and overnight stays in tents;
Comfortable, sturdy shoes with good grip for climbing and walking on loose surfaces;
Personal hygiene items – toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, towel, wet wipes, etc.;
Other accessories for field conditions – personal first-aid kit, flashlight, chargers.*

*During tent camp setup, the guide will connect a 220V generator so you can charge phones and cameras, and the camp will be illuminated by 1–2 floodlights.

Notes:

Since this tour uses our own camping and kitchen facilities, space in the vehicle is limited. We ask you to bring only small to medium-sized bags or backpacks (up to 40L) as carry-on. Larger luggage can be stored at the hotel, or we can store it at our office for free until your return to Aktau.
Please respect the local culture and religious beliefs of guides and drivers, and refrain from consuming alcohol during the tour. Thank you for your understanding.
Many locations involve walking, climbing, and descending on rough terrain, but they do not require special skills and are suitable for nearly all age groups. If you have musculoskeletal conditions or special dietary needs, please inform us in advance.
In case of bad weather (storm, heavy rain, strong wind), overnight stays in tents may be replaced by accommodation in nearby guest houses. Emergency accommodation will need to be paid separately.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Attention!
Out of respect for Kazakh traditions and religious beliefs, alcoholic beverages are not served during our tours.

Physical Requirements:
The tour does not involve difficult hikes or long walks, making it accessible for people with normal physical fitness and suitable for all age groups.

Weather Conditions:
In case of adverse weather (heavy rain, strong wind, or storm), the group may be required to leave the camp and take shelter in the nearest guest houses.
